Tata Tiago EV 2025 Launched in India: Smart Features, and Affordable Electric Drive

Tata Motors has launched the updated Tata Tiago EV 2025 in India, bringing new features, improved driving range, and smarter connectivity while retaining its status as the most affordable electric car for Indian families. With prices starting at just ₹8.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tiago EV 2025 continues to lead the electric hatchback space with a perfect mix of performance, practicality, and price.

Sleek Design with EV-Specific Details

The Tiago EV retains its familiar compact hatchback design but now includes EV-exclusive touches like electric blue highlights, aero-efficient wheels, and an updated front grille with a tri-arrow pattern. The bumper gets a more refined look while the rear features a new EV badge and smoked tail lamps. Tata offers fresh dual-tone colour options and a sportier top variant with contrasting roof finish.

Upgraded Range and Efficient Battery Options

The 2025 model comes with two battery pack choices – 19.2 kWh (Medium Range) and 24 kWh (Long Range). Tata has improved thermal management and battery calibration, resulting in an ARAI-certified driving range of up to 315 km on a single charge in the Long Range variant, and up to 250 km in the Medium Range version — ideal for daily city runs and short outstation trips.

Ziptron Technology with Instant Torque

Powered by Tata’s proven Ziptron architecture, the Tiago EV delivers 74.7 PS of peak power and 114 Nm of instant torque. The car accelerates from 0–60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds, offering a peppy and smooth city driving experience. The vehicle includes two driving modes – City and Sport – along with four levels of regenerative braking to optimize efficiency based on driving conditions.

Smart Infotainment and Connected Features

The 2025 Tiago EV now includes an upgraded 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, and Tata’s ZConnect app with 65+ connected car features. These include remote commands, vehicle diagnostics, charging status, geo-fencing, and live location tracking. Other features include cruise control, push-button start, auto-fold mirrors, and a cooled glovebox in higher trims.

Fast Charging and Safety

The Tiago EV supports multiple charging options, including 15A home socket, 3.3kW and 7.2kW AC wall box chargers, and DC fast charging. With a fast charger, the battery can go from 10% to 80% in just 57 minutes. On the safety front, the car is equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse camera, tyre pressure monitoring, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

Variants and Pricing

The Tata Tiago EV 2025 is offered in four main variants: XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Tech Lux. Pricing starts at ₹8.99 lakh for the base variant and goes up to ₹11.89 lakh for the fully loaded Long Range version with fast charging support. Tata is offering free home charger installation and special EMI plans as part of the launch offer.
